a nő vágya

hétvégi programkezdet a Sziget Fesztiválon. Ez az egy érdekelt: mit jelent a Vigszínháznak egy radikális musical? főleg hogy a nő - mint olyan - adja a címét. a bemutatóból ítélve, még van mit csiszolni az énekpróbákon, de mindenesetre érdekes lesz. októberben. kivárjuk.

érdekesen alakul(t) ez a fesztivál hétvége. nagyon fáradt vagyok. csak néhány barátommal futottam össze, és egyetlen új emberrel sem ismerkedtem meg. fura. idén volt először, hogy mindenki csak megnézett, de nem mert leszólítani. haha. én meg senkit sem bátorítottam. tök jó volt csak úgy figyelni az embereket. semmi sem volt a fejemben, csak néztem a kavalkádot, amiért a Szigetet szeretem. annyi féle ember van, és jól mutatnak itt egymás mellett. változatos. meg azt is néztem, hogy milyen interakcióik vannak. szeretném, ha előzékenyek és figyelmesek lennének egymással, de a mámoros állapotban ez már nem mindig megy.

programok gyanánt pénteken - a színházon kívül - nem sok mindenről tudok beszámolni, ugyanis mindenről lemaradtunk: csak ettünk, ittunk, pálinkáztunk, hastáncoltunk és sodródtunk - ez jó volt. a szombat már fegyelmezettebben alakult, ugyanis a többieknek volt elképzelnivalója, és ahhoz lehetett viszonyulni ;) így volt: f-zámbó happy dead band. péterfi bori. al di meola. bëlga. la fura dels baus (na ez q* jó volt!), meg örömzenék, aztán annyira fáradt lettem (megint - pedig vagy 12órát aludtam), hogy hazajöttem. de ez elég jó így! annyira jó, hogy nem érdekel, hogy ki mit gondol, s azt teszem, ami nekem jó. bulizni meg ugyis a barátaimmal szeretek. a túl nagy zaj amúgy is leszívja az energiáimat.

hogy ma kimegyek-e? az még kérdéses. valahogy nem vágyom rá. jó ez a kis pihi, meg sport, meg édes semmittevés. és van érdekes olvasnivalóm is - hosszú idő után először. persze francia. de jó!
persze ez a döntésem is még megváltozhat ;)

ez a nap híre!! nem tudom, melyik kategóráiban indítsam, mert rég hallottam ekkora őrületet - jellemzően UP. hogy 40-45ezer blogot bír el az ország, hát ez vicc! (annyit se - de miért akadályoznánk meg bárkit is, hogy szíve / esze szerint írjon??)
lehet, hogy előbb a minődségi újságírásért kellene tenni valamit! (mert ott még a fákat is kivágják, hogy a papírra nyomtassanak)

balatoni "nyár"

Elhatároztam (de ez nem egy újévi fogadalom, hanem csak úgy, a jól-létért), hogy minden hétvégéből egy napot friss levegőn, a szabadban, mondhatnám, a fővároson kívűl fogok tölteni. Ez az életemben egyszer már bejött, mármint hogy így lazítok, azaz kirándulok, úszom, használom a testem, tehát szellőztetem az agyam :)) imádom!!

Nos, most hogy itt ez a mínusztíz és a Balaton is befagyott, úgy döntöttem, hogy ezt látnom KELL!! Ilyet még soha sehol sem láttam, és kori sem volt a lábamon már pár éve (vagyis újabban csak görkori), úgyhogy nem árt, ha edzésben tartom magam (itt eszembe jutottak a drága szüleim is, akik ennyi idősen mint most én, boldogan hordtak bennünket korzini és nagyon klasszak voltak azok a baráti-családi hétvégék), úgyhogy felhívtam néhány barátot, hogy mit szólnának egy balatoni naphoz a hétvégén!! Bár a Nap csak szombaton sütött, és a mi választásunk vasárnap volt -- de így is megérte!
Nem tudom leírni, hogy milyen üdítő volt ez a nap! A lelkem is töltődött, és legyőztem egy fóbiámat is. Gondoltam, hogy király lesz, de hogy ennyire! Bár először, amikor rámentem a jégre az öblön túl, akkor majd betojtam, ugyanis a megfagyott hullámok látszottak a víz alatt!!! és én ki nem álhatok plexiüvegen járni a mélység felett (ezért mentünk a déli partra, -bár én északi parti gyerek vagyok, - mert ha ott beszakadunk, akkor is csak derékig ér a víz ;)) . De ezután jött az élvezet, csak csúsztam, és csúsztam, egyenesen előre (nem pedig körbe-körbe, mint a jégpályán), és olyan helyen, ahol még senki sem járt előttem!! Szédület volt!! Közben láttam a repedéseket, amint megfagytak, a hullámok tarajait is, amint összetorlódva jelezték a határt... és néhány nádlevelet is a víz alatt. Halat, úszkálót, szerencsére nem (de a hozzátartozó vészforgatókönyvet azért agyban legyártottam!!), s közben hideg volt, távoli szürkés messziségben ködlöttek fel a hegyek... pompás egységet alkottunk így a táj meg én.

Persze közben szórakoztatásunkra, (talán, mert azt gondolták, hogy a csend nem élvezhető -- civilizációs betegség) szóltak a slágerek, mint régen a Katlanban, ahová jártunk... a nyolcvanas években... Itt volt fakutya is, olyan klasszikus, szék csúszó falábakon, amit az "élvezők" mindig továbbadtak, amint megunták, és ott pörögtünk és csúsztunk, ketten is ültek rajta, én meg toltam... korin ... csupa száguldás és kanyar... és közben szólt a sláger, hogy "elmúlt már, a balatoni nyár"... talán.. el...

De milyen jó a víz!!

apró hiba

Extravaganza on Sziget et al...

Huh! A few very busy days behind - or at least i felt busy with two guests (and my inner worries that i have not done any work), but the time we pass together is sooo much fun!!! :-D

Friday heat made us a bit dizzy, so Kr and I needed relaxing, while K explored the Labyrinth (katacombs) of Buda as she has a liking for them -- though she could suggest a better lighting system for the whole thing to spice it up a bit. Then we had my special (second) guest meal of lecsó (K was eager to get tomatoes and paprika on the market) and some fish :) yummie!

After a late start and search for some special present on Saturday morning we started off to Sziget Festival... that was outrageous! The girls have never been to a festival like that where so many things happen at the very same time. K asked 'So how many stages will there be? Four!?' and was surprised when i replied 'rather 14, but maybe 24'. So as we summed up the evening: 2 performances-dances, 1 vietnamese water puppetry show, 4 concerts including R.E.M. in the VIP lounge, lots of dancing, unicum, beer and fröccs (wine with soda), Hungarian specialties: kürtőskalács and lángos, 'spasime' guys (new terminology invented), cold weather and drumming, taxi-queu and tons of impressions that cannot be quantised....

As we got home very early, around 4am, we had a late, late morning and then went to see my parents in Gödöllő. K has known them since our childhood, so it was great to meet again :) My mom prepared a Hungarian dish for the girls, fish soup and palacsinta (pancakes - that K loves and was wishing for) for we all got well-fed as it is a custom also in this part of the word. The garden was beautiful and we even got some fruits as well!! Then we discovered the famous Grassalkovich (now Royal) Castle of Gödöllő - with all the joys and tragedies of its previous owners. It is nicely renovated and presented to tourist showing the history of the place and giving an air of those times. K really considered a wedding in the garden of my parents and then in the castle itself - my mother volunteered to organise it for her ;) (Of course, she tries to put the whole story on me now!) Finally we also had a look on another 'castle' under construction - and are eager to receive an invitation to a grill-party soon! After more food - mainly melons- and some unicum (K and my father ;) ) we headed back to town... as Kr had a rendez-vous with an old time friend :)

Monday started with our stroll along the Danube till the Main Market and some other shops, but we ended up at the Széchenyi bath to relax for hours :) It's the favourite bath of Kr and me, and now we all could enjoy it to its full beauty as it is totally renovated by now! I just love that place- though it rather felt like a 'strand' (like a lido) this time.
At night we discovered the new restaurant of Kr's friends -- M. restaurant in Kertész utca (7th district) - home-made dishes and friendly waiter(es)s- what a great time we had! Design is at its utmost there!!

Today the ladies have done the shopping for the trip to start tomorrow, and i do not feel quite well, but we manage! Everyone is getting more excited...
And not to miss anything in Budapest it comes more sight-seeings and museums...

Debrecen (HU)

„Debrecenbe kéne menni,

goes the Hungarian children’s rhyme… and so did we this weekend!

The aim was to see the exhibition of Aba Novák as it closes today (last minute trip), plus to see a bit of Debrecen as well, as it has been quite a while since I have last been there. I still love the atmosphere of that town – a very imposing Protestant church on the Main square!! Where the pedestrian area start and where the tram runs also through… one tram line across the town from the railway station till the loop around the forest and the spas and the university. No.1.

We have also enjoyed the wellness area of the famous Aranybika (golden bull) Hotel with the painted frescos (and a combination with socialist architecture), but then returned to the other side of the square – and on our way we promenaded across the Debrecen Civis Korzó (Prom) where there is a set of programmes in the coming weeks. The Magna Cum Laude concert attracted many locals and visitors to have a beer along!

The weather was not warm enough for the local open air pools, so we went for a walk in the Nagyerdő (like the ‘Hundred Acre Wood’ in Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh) and shared a hut with the mosquitoes when it started raining! The area is a leisure time destination for all - lovely water lilies on the pond!

Also to have some sport activities in the weekend programme we have tried the tennis courts of the University – Debrecen is also a university town, and the oldest and nicest buildings usually host the faculties, even the gardens are worth a visit! –, it was just great to have a play especially that my friend C is an excellent player! On the way back we have discovered the new M3 Archeopark (www.m3archeopark.hu) that lies on the crossing of the highways M3 and M35, and is the first landscape history and archaeological leisure park. Should check out the 4^th National Mother-in-Law Festival they organise next weekend!

Guillaume Aba Novák

His real name is Vilmos in Hungarian, but on the Certificate du Grand Prix de Paris in 1937 his name stands as Guillaume (should be William) that made me smile -- why cannot grand nations just learn to use, pronounce foreign names? I always wonder...

Anyhow, his exhibition in ModemArt in Debrecen (second biggest town in north-eastern Hungary) was a well-organised and thematically well-oriented representation of his works. I did enjoy it - especially that tickets could be purchased via the internet in advance and the museum itself is a comfortable modern place!

His talent was showed from different angles, the different periods, experiences and influences were thematically presented in an easily traceable way. The time of 1920-30 was just there and he was no different to his contemporaries... like Diego Rivera or other artists of the Montparnasse.

Gyula (HU)

I had no time to write about my experiences in a splendid little town called Gyula a few weeks ago, but I sum it up now.

It might sound strange at my age, but I like to be on holidays with my parents. In the past years we have one or two long weekends what we spend together – they do travel a lot in Hungary and most surely visit the best Hungarian spas!

My memory of Gyula and its fort was quite ruinous and dated from my teenage years, but now I found that the fort is turned into an open air summer theatre in the yard, the exhibition is interesting and the whole building is renovated – really well-done! We even had the special opportunity to see young bowmen shooting their fire arrows off the walls as an attraction on the Night of the Museums. And as a literary plus there was old-time story-telling at the entrance – a piquant story about the young Matthias King! – underlined by some also piquant drawings projected to the medieval walls. http://www.corvinmuzeum.hu/fooldal.html

But besides the summer festivals, Gyula is famous for its spa – a medical and wellness centre for those wishing to heal and relax! I just loved it as it had an Olympic size swimming pool on open air too and I could do my laps while sunbathing a bit, and of course my father loved the places as he could enjoy the thermal water. A water that looks yellowish brown, comes at different temperature and does not smell! (It is good for all sorts of medical treatments.) There is a swimming pool (although small in size) filled with this water for colder days. The entire complex is nicely organised and there are facilities for all demands. Old trees guard you against the UV rays and if you want to have a splash, along you slide!

Oh! I should not forget to mention the delicious draft beer sold at a cooling temperature ;)

The city itself offers some sightseeing and outings; the inner city is newly renovated and turned into a pedestrian area – Kőmíves cukrászda (confectionary) offers you yummy hand-made ice-cream and desserts! Or along the stream you can enjoy a meal and some wine. The medieval Fort that formed part of our history or the famous Hungarian composer Ferenc Erkel – father of the Hungarian grand opera and composer of our national anthem was born here – who has a memorial house : attract many visitors.

Another positive surprise was that the spa and the town seems to be bi- or tri-lingual (at least the restaurants for sure), as the Romanian and the Serb borders are close, and many visit Gyula.
