His real name is Vilmos in Hungarian, but on the Certificate du Grand Prix de Paris in 1937 his name stands as Guillaume (should be William) that made me smile -- why cannot grand nations just learn to use, pronounce foreign names? I always wonder...Anyhow, his exhibition in ModemArt in Debrecen (second biggest town in north-eastern Hungary) was a well-organised and thematically well-oriented representation of his works. I did enjoy it - especially that tickets could be purchased via the internet in advance and the museum itself is a comfortable modern place!
His talent was showed from different angles, the different periods, experiences and influences were thematically presented in an easily traceable way. The time of 1920-30 was just there and he was no different to his contemporaries... like Diego Rivera or other artists of the Montparnasse.
